Prioritize what you buy
In order to be happy, Aristotle says, there’s a lot of things you can do, but one of the most important ones is to watch what you buy. Instead of trying to buy a lot of things, you should focus on gaining more experiences and ideas.
Engaging your mind and body in meaningful activities that you enjoy will make you happier than simply accumulating a bunch of stuff in your house. This is one idea that won’t ever go out of style.
Keep yourself healthy
After participating in activities that are meaningful to both your mind and your body, it makes sense that you should take care of both of those things. Some things you can do are getting exercise, of course, and eating healthy, nutritious foods that you enjoy.
Getting enough sleep is also important for having a healthy mind and body, so make sure to go to bed at a reasonable hour so you’ll get enough rest.
Aristotle says that much of the time, we tend to choose the easiest route. But we shouldn’t! To truly improve your life, you should seek out things that challenge you (in a good way, of course). Find a challenging project that you can tackle at home, pick the challenging workout for the day, read a more challenging book than you usually do — the options go on and on.
